"This is all rather odd...and a bit of a recurring theme.
The manager sets up the Lewandowski deal...and then the club struggles to match the fee and package of two other foreign clubs.
The manager sets up the Dindane deal...and then the deal stalls over the fee."
"The good thing about the Lewandowski deal is that there could and should be a quick result on it. He may agree to join a new club in a matter of days or a couple of weeks. That should be helpful.
There is no doubt he is the number one target, but Rovers have been doing their homework - or trying to - by looking into the Mauro Boselli option.
Boselli´s injury is not that bad. He could be playing by the weekend.
Lewandwoski´s wages and fee would be cheaper than Boselli´s...although not by that much. However there are even more clubs keen on him than Lewandowski, so that could become even more expensive if an auction starts.
If you get one or the other you would probably have done well. If you don´t it could be a long summer. "
