Litt Nicko info:
"There won´t be anything in the Sunday People because the pieces of the jigsaw are not together yet...
But as Kamy has stated there is at least one serious rival to Syed as we speak.
The group I mentioned last weekend are still very much in there and do appear to come from India.
This is all rather odd and smacks a bit of rivalry among Indian business folk. First we had Shah, then we had Syed, now the new people.
Why the competition? Not sure. Possibly jealousy, but that is no bad thing in these circles.
The fact remains that the club/Trustees/Rothschilds are willing to have a chat with someone while the Syed move is at the due diligence stage.
It was heresy to suggest as much two or three weeks ago, but now it looks like a bit of competition would be healthy.
No idea what the BBC have - or why - but it is daft to criticise someone who is asking serious questions. I am sure the chap has no agenda.
However there is no doubt that a PR war is going on around this. Still, Syed lived by that sword when he leaked his interest and started to talk of big figures and big names.
The latest bidders may/may not be more wealthy and have better football ideas. Nobody knows and - for now - there is time to go about this slowly and sensibly.
The attempt to rush through a takeover with the proise of riches that Syed´s people claimed last month never sat well with me...and I believe that many at the club were suspicious of this too.
This is way too serious a decision to be hurried into. "
