Ricky Sbragia has left the door ajar for Blackburn to come in with a bid for Sunderland forward El Hadji Diouf.
Sam Allardyce swept to power at Blackburn last week and he has been linked with a host of players who did well for him during his time at Bolton.
Allardyce got Senegal star Diouf back on track at The Reebok and reports suggest he could come in with a bid in January.
Sbragia claims he has not fielded any approach from Rovers, but admits he would not stand in Diouf’s way if an offer was tabled.
”That is the sort of thing I will leave to the people upstairs to deal with,” Sbragia said on Setanta Sports News. “In general if anybody wants our players, they know where to come.
”If Dioulfy wants to go and if Blackburn are interested in him, then fine. I have no problem with that, as long as it is done right.
”If Dioufy wants to go and the deal is right then he can go and I have no problem, but talking to Dioufy recently he seems quite happy.
"He has been off a week due to his wife having a baby, but I think it might just be speculation.”
