"Ok was asked my take on this so I will now go through it, after spending a number of hours at Ewood today,
I loan agreed- If this is referring to Gibson this is old news, and was
brought to these boards around 6 weeks ago, Its still possible but no
imminent
1 striker intended on perminent deal- The only striker to snub rovers
who we have made an official enquiry for is Raul whicj was today which
everyone knows about, Will add this was only an enquiry and not a stone
wall BID
Not aware of any striker snubbing us who we have made an official
approach for, Only names that came out yesterday were Robbie Keane and
we had no interest whilst Newcastle have moved in on Modiba Maiga who
has been one of Rovers top targets all summer and may still end up at
Ewood.
I Bizzare Rightback- Not sure who this maybe, been made aware of 2
defenders we are in talks with, One is confortable across any where
across the back four and one is a centre back, both would be cash
purchases
1 striker i heard about earlier might be happening, although that is in
the very early stages...- Again without talking to Tombo not sure of the
striker he is referring to, but can confirm we have moved closer to
grabbing a striker who is a good player, is a proven goalscorer, he is
the one I referred to last week, that deal is very much alive and it wnt
be cheap
1 perminant deal for a free agent is on the cards, but is dependent on
wage budgeting according to the players we need to sign.------- Been
offered a number of free agents over the summer, and are contiunally
offered them on a daily basis but to my knowledge none of these are
imminent signings or have been highlighted as being so
1 perminant deal for a CB is close to happening, but wouldn't put it
past Rovers to screw that up right now... As earlier stated we are in
Dialogue with 2 defenders and at least one of them expected to sign this
week.
Kean issue- Rovers monitoring fans response but exit looks highly
unlikely as its very much business as usual at Rovers as we try and sign
players, we have not put these moves on hold, quite the opposite we
have upped the game, There is high confidence that we will make the
signings of the players highlighted.
Raul- There was an enquiry yesterday, but just like any other enquiry we
would make, this was leaked out at the german side, The player does not
want to join Rovers so that appears dead, In repsonse to one or two who
said this was not the case, I can ensure you the enquiry was made, and
if anything would of come from that enquiry it would have been a very
expensive deal which would have had to be personally funded by the Rao's
as our current budget would not have allowed us to do so.
Following conversations today I'm very positive that we are not just
dipping our toes in the tub. I fully expect at least 3 permanent
signings and 2 loans. At a guess at least a further £15 million will be
spent on Transfer fee's with additional cost of agent/signing on fees"
